    Fluid changes.....

    coolant particularly...

    is it tricky? time consuming? a total nightmare to do?

    Depends which pipe you decide to take off. Really should be the lower pipe on the rad, but its a bitch to get to. Unless you have taken it off before and positioned the hose-clip in a place that is easy to get to.

    Un-do, let it pi$$ out all over the place. Reconnect pipe and top up. Sorted. Leave it running and let the system get rid of the trapped air. Let it cool and top up again.

    If going to the hassle might be worth using Forte coolant flush. Usually some on ebay.

    u gotta be careful with flush stuff tho, it can flush away stuff thats actually preventing a leak, particularly in old cars! my mate did that on his old fiesta, flushed it and it pissed water out of every gasket in the system!

    Just flush the system through by using a hose (if you don't have a hose-pipe ban!!).

    Take off the expansion tank and flush through each hose until the water runs clear out of the other.

    Fill is back up, bleed, job done.
