That is not a top mount, but a Clio Maxi PAS pump which is bolted directly to the inlet cam pulley.
Gr.A scuttle induction was first used on Gr.A cars which were without ITBs and this system was later adopted for use with ITB plenum. Reason why intake is there is because that area has the biggest pressure difference while still being in a dust free zone. It's essentialy some sort of ram air intake.
@2live: I can't say which make, but I can tell you they were 43mm in diameter and were custom made for the application. They were an integrated design (manifold/bodies were one casting).
Yea, I spotted that. I guess they may have needed different mounts to OE car. I am wondering if the engine has been slightly moved back a bit to accommodate ITB intake?Quote:
