Blackmail poll
I may or may not have acquired some pretty sensitive information / data about someone i dont much care for. If i handed this information over to a particular person or made it public, i could cause this person alot of trouble / embarrassment. What are your views?
Hypothetically speaking of course
-
I hit the top option - but not paying attention I actually meant to hit the second one.. lol
-
-
depends on what damage it could do... gotta be careful in those kinda situations...
-
Blackmail is a criminal offence, so I would be careful, also it would depend what the other person had done to me, whether I would use the info or not.
I have in the past released confidential info to a national newspaper, when a very large company I worked for tried to screw me over, and received very quickly the money that they owed me, however this was a company not an individual and they left me no option, also it was classed as " in the public interest " so not subject to the law of blackmail.
Unless, it meant you would significantly gain in releasing this info I would keep it to myself, more often these things backfire..I'd tread carefully!!
-
I'd keep it to myself personally!
-
it would all depend on the type of information, the damage it culd do and whether it was only the one person who would suffer [ if it involved fother members of family etc] but in principle the second option possible [again also dependes on what they had done
-
Woudl depends what sort of embarisment they would be under.
To little info to give an exact answer but I'd say unless you realy hate them give them the info back.
Treat other like you'd like to be treated.
