1.2 nippy vs 306 D turbo full of chavs

Sat at the traffic lights near the Sainsburys in Huddersfield and this car load of chavs pulls up next to me. I could see the driver looking down at the side of the car and they were all laughing, until the lights when green and I disappeared lol.

Even if it was a 1.2, a 1200 kilo car with about 250 kilos worth of passangers boasting a piffling 90bhp wouldn't have seen which way the nippy little 1.2 beast went!

LOL my actual 1.2 was as fast as my mates D turbo it was a bit of a shitter though.

I used to have an unmodified mk3 golf gl tdi 90bhp, and no word of a lie that thing flew for 90bhp!!!! and it didnt matter if the car was full or not, couldnt really tell the difference ( wish i could say the same in my clio!) guess it was down to the torque. I saw off many vtr's, 8v gti's and escort gti's.

The figures read 0-60 14.2sec, 112 top end. i had 124 on the motorway on my own and 0-60 in 10.8 seconds with 3 of us in it! certainly no valver but for a 5 door tank......pretty impressive i think.

best thing about it was the fuel economy. 60mpg sensible, 50mpg booting it! certainly came down to earth with an almighty thud when i got the valver. i actually cant afford to go fast lol
