yup self source all parts! i can get everything for about a Grand for the low compression turbo.. high compression you need to use forged pistons and possibly uprate conrods
go direct to pace for piping and cooler.. r 21 injectors, r 21 map sensor...the only parts i couldnt source where the exhaust mnifold parts
i am running the high boost and spent more than that for the bottom end parts alone.
ben red16 was building a diy turbo lump up ages ago....he got the pistons/manifold/turbo etc sorted out relatively cheap iirc.
will have to get more info off him next time he online.
can use megane pistons for about 40 notes will run at about 7.5 to 1
been looking at getting the turbo from america as they seem alot cheaper, the t28 is 300 instead of 900 from bb
iirc you can use a 2nd hand scooby turbo, coz its the t28, and you can pick them up dirt cheap as most scooby owners upgrade to a bigger one!
i know a mate who picked one up for 100 quid! only done 30k miles, perfect working order! (wasnt for a clio tho!) :(
Has anoyone got the KTec turbo kit?
can use megane pistons for about 40 notes will run at about 7.5 to 1
just to let u know fella, my supplier of those tubular turbo manifolds STILL hasnt sent me pics...
has anyone got a limtied slip diiff as might be worth it with a turbo! bloody expensive though :(
only tommo that i know of has a LSD box on here
yes mate am running a rebuilt strenghted box with a gripper limited slip diff in it. cheers stan fancy it but needs to line up with the turbo down pipe i am using. dont want to buy it and find i cant fit it in
where did you get your gripper slip diff from?
demon tweeks supply them but had mine fitted buy bernie at cps when he rebuilt my box.
How much did your sliff diff cost?
about 750 or 800 notes i think
Gunner and plattsy, where did you find all the parts from for under a grand?
I'm don't know what to do about the manifold at the moment.
al over.... not got the places on this comp all on my other pc but it dont work... price was around 920 but found cheaper parts now
was for a low boost conversion running around 7psi no intercooler
with charge cooler oil cooler escort cosworth turbo engine managerment chip map sensor pistons etc
Escort management? How does that work?
I was wondering if its possible to turbo an f7p or f7r for around £1500... reckon you can now!
Has anyone got a list of parts you need to do a low boost turbo conversion?
