Clutch/ Gearbox Problem... Again....YEY!!!

Coming home from work tonight and the car felt it must have its annual paddy. :lol:

Struggling to get 3rd gear and reverse (it will go in but has to be forced almost lol) and the clutch feels very strange and at one point had hardly any biting point. Slight noise coming from it when dipped (there has been for a bit but most people said it was a noisy release bearing and should be ok)

Cable problem or something a bit more serious...again... LOL anyone like to hazard a guess?!

had a similar problem, couldnt select 1,2,3 or reverse somtimes. and the biting point drop to practically on the floor. altho had to really force it into gear, but there was no grinding or crunching in.
turns out it was the rachet mechanism on the end of the pedal, teeth on the ratchet were worn and wouldnt pick up the cable to open the gates on the gear box..
or something like that! :S
new pedal sorted me out.
