yeah to be honest i wasnt very ompressed with em either, last time i went to POD the ST couldnt get below a 16.5, TBH thats not that great

Yup, I thought it was a Zetec S I pulled that quickly on it, the car isnt even running properly at the mo either, its overfeuling like a bitch!. Reckon its only making about 135 at the fly, stripped to buggery mind! :D

Dunno remember reading a review in driven mag, where they compared it to 182 and cooper, apparently was brought out to rivel them, but its slower than both, 0-60 times etc, and more expensive than them both......great rival lol

I had a Fiesta ST as a company car!! they are pretty quick, was even better once I put a few HARD miles on it! very positive car to drive! it was new after all!! had some good fun in the beast. Yes it is overweight and has NO character at all. Just by replacing the cat back with a stainless and a performance panel filter you can gain an extra 18bhp! thats a grand total of 168bhp. I rate them but prefer my valver!!

Funny thing is everyone is saying how slow they are but no one is mentioning the fact that they are supposed to be very good handling cars...usually the argument is that straight line speed means nowt but handling is where is counts. I agree that they are too heavy for the power but if they handle well the that`ll make up for it slightly

I had a Zetec S and it wasn't too far from the willy in terms of handling, so this thing should be even better than the Zetec S... didn't it do quite comparable times to the 182 Cup packed things round Top Gear or 5th gear tracks?

I remember on 5th gear(I think), they tested it against the C2 VTS around anglesey, & the times were pretty even I believe.

I also have had the new fiesta zetec-s. I must be honest the zetec-s was a better handler! im sure its down to the 16' alloys on the zetec-s, but to me it was better at cornering. The 17' alloys look good on the ST but maybe a tad too big when it comes down to handling.

Blitzed a Zetec s lastnight, was just straight line mind. Have driven and ST and thought it was pritty quick though, but agreed for a 2ltr 16V the power its pushing is lousey
