View Full Version : 60mph in 2nd !
Why do ppl say the valver hits 60mph in second? mine doesnt, it does about 57 in 2nd then its on the 7200 rpm limiter !
unless my speedo is wrong???

Yours is shit then lol  . Mine goes to 62 on the limiter 8) Unless your box is different? Is it phase 1? :?
yeah its a phase 1 m8
not sure about the s**t bit as it pulls the limiter in top on a long enuff bit of road
every valver I have been in hit over 60 in 2nd... my old one did, Griff's does 65mph in 2nd... RR will tell you if the speedo is out.
It could well be out m8 as its just under 60 on the speedo as it bounces off the limiter :?
no doubt in the way it goes

only when revving to 7.5k
Mine seems to hit the limiter at 85 in 3rd iirc but gets 60 in second on my Ph1
Dunno why that is.
do u have a williams gearbox in ya valver? i thought valvers went to 67 on the 7200 limit anyway?
i got a gps reading on my snooper of actual speed and my speedo reads 5mph too slow

I've hit 120 (on the clocks) in 4th. Never got beyond 6500rpm in 5th at about 130.

Thats what mine does, will 80-90 in 3rd and 110ish in 4th....and mine is an RSi

Mine does 67mph in 2nd GPS but it had a different gearbox.
See ya
Matt
On average i've found the Renault speedos over read by about 5 mph at 50, and about 8mph at 100
Dependent on wheel size too as that can throw speedo out.
So all talk about crap ones etc can be based on wheel size which impact speedo reading.
Mine is on the standard 185/55/15 rubber so not to certain why it would read that.
Speedo doesnt wobble either.
do u have a williams gearbox in ya valver? i thought valvers went to 67 on the 7200 limit anyway?
Its not the gearbox on the williams but revs that stops it getting to 60. Doesn't rev as high as valvers.
My old valvers both used to hit 63mph in 2nd.

hmm road test comin up lol
hope your all doing these on your private roads lads
ive got one for you to think about. my mates vavler did 55 in 2nd 80 in 3rd etc then he swapped engines, kept ecu and box... now does 67 in 2nd and 105 in 3rd! all on his road angel!! explain that one lol
his speedo and rev counter were out both times?
i have had well over 60 easy nearer 70
i just dont get how mine does 57 in 2nd and 90 in 3rd??
very queer !
it does bang on 105 on the road angel every time and thats gps isnt it?
