With regards to the track rod ends, are the 16v ones long enough to get the extra track or are there willy specific ones ?

yes that doesn't really answer the question
std 16v ones should fit fine mate, the last 2 we done did with plenty left
....but if they are old i woudl replace with new ones, will make the stearing feel better, and while you are at it may as well get proper willy ones ;)

Pretty much every steering part will or has been replaced recently, had a new PAS rack and rods 12 months ago, now i'm having willy wide track using all new parts bar the shafts. should be pretty tight up front :D
thing was the rods were pattern parts so i hope they extend enough :?
If not get willy parts and sell the near new 16v parts :D

lunner you fancy my 16v bits for your RSi ?
Possibly
They will be the same, i will be requiring track rod ends, and lower ball joints in the next few months, apart from that i ahve everything else as new
Will a 1.2 manual rack trackrod ends go wide enough for a wide track!

sorry mate, misread the question  was meant to mean yes 16v track rods will be fine :D
I used 16v track rod ends on my willy conversion they were fine

Yes - male or female track rod ends fit fine with more than enough thread left.

Pretty much finished now, my dad had a tool which gives the nut a shock when you hammer on the top of it, worked a treat :D
I couldn't believe how much wider it is though  looks like its gonna rub lol
