970 kilos and 158bhp standard. I have a mate who's picking one up at the weekend and he wants a race.

Anyone had a go with one of these? I think I'm gonna get an arse whipping

1.6, should run out of breath sooner even if it is a Honda

Had many little run ins with 1.6 honda VTECs. Was dead easy for me when they are below 5k rpm. And fairly even beyond that or rather, depends on which driver is crazier on the day. That's for unmodified VTECs and my Williams (superchipped/air filter).

That's the same position as me, his standard (only for now), mine lightly modded. Reckon it'll be pretty even then, until he starts modding.

Video to follow hopefully...

I don't think Stromba had a V-tec one? Could be wrong. Even so, he said they were about as fast as the Williams. Hence the worry!

Word of caution to your mate. If it's the circa '91 short wheebase model, they are a bit hard to catch when their tail steps out. Think they generally understeer and switches to oversteer when least expected. Something like that, IIRC.

Guy on the local cruise site has a modded'ish one, has run a 15.2 so the same as my lightly modded valver.

He's had a couple of CRXs before, so hopefully he'll know what to expect, but cheers for the heads up! It'll only be a straight-line comparison anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem anyway.
