Richy, where's your logic?! A 20-year old car at £2k is too much, but a 15-year old car for £3k (approx) isn't?!
Or were you taking the piss :?

 i was looking at older S1 RST for more then that lol
i just dont think id buy a R5 been tempted before but always thought no buy something else!!!
I know what you mean. There are a lot of other cars out there I'd prefer to get. For a start, they don't seem to make very good track cars. Least not from the experience I've had. Still, they look and sound so cool!
If I was in the market, I'd be very tempted with the one Fab has found though 8)
I miss that turbo boost from my old five.and I feel the 5 i had gave a more cart like feel than my standard willy.dont get me wrong the willy is more refined but the five is lots of fun also.
20 year old car and i could get classic insurance and not pay road tax on that thing I think.
Road tax is 25yrs or even more i think?
You have to pay road tax on any car registered after 1972(I think), Fab.
If you did limited mileage on a classic policy, I'm sure the insurance would be very cheap though...
do you think I'd be allowed on the FCS stand with this
guess where the guy is?
hes in Bournemouth!thats where the big meet is  almost France!
And only 30 miles away from me 8)
yes i would! but we all know how reliable the 5's were dont we!!!!
no worries i have back up :D

****ing too right i woudl, absoloute minter!
This has been for sale for a long time.....if it was a phase 2 especially in red I'd jump in there head first.... :D
Never been keen on the phase 1
i like it.
looks like a minter
Hey Gaz check out the '89 black one from the GT Turbo owners club.you reckon it would give the nana a run for its money?

Probably grab that for 2K.
I wouldn't personally, knowing what people are like off here it would be a £2k bill for something that sits in the drive/garage for the rest of it's life... if your buying it to drive then yeah, go for it, low miles and minty fresh.

I like the ph1 but would never buy one.
At a push I'd get a mk1 5 turbo. 8)
