No, it's a "Why?"
Your Williams already has wider track at front than a 16v and wider again than an RSi/RT.
Ok, on an RSi you might want to "try" and replicate a 16v track.. or even a Williams track, but when you have the best already, there really isn't much point (Else, Renault would have made it wider properly I'd guess)

not exactly the best car builder tho r they dude

Putting spacers on has very little to do with the build quality of the interior trim though does it? :?

Just to go back to that arguement a moment Daz, i really don't think the 16v's are wider over the lesser clios; as of now i'm running 16v hub carriers and 16v shocks on the 1.2 and its no wider...as everyone knows the subframe/wishbones are all the same basic shape so that really can't be the case...
:?
They aren't, he is spouting shit
Only Williams had the wider track, and i'm guessing they didn't make it even wider as it woudl ahve ment the wheels woudl have been level wiht the arches, and if the remember they already had all teh parts for the 19 16v, making it even wider still woudl ahve ment devbeloping newer unqiue shafts anbd wishbones etc, meaning they woudl be alot more money
All points taken. Some good some bad some irelevant.
The reasons why i am doing this is:
1) I wanted a slightly wider stance - i believe that there is enough tolerance to cope with 10mm spacers all round.
2) Its cheap - so no biggy if it doesnt work
3) I've never done it before, and the old man used to do it on his Sprint Anglia. So though id try it out.
Will let you know when i do it and a full report on how things went.
Cheers
