View Full Version : Clio 16v/Williams Front Brakes
What type of front brakes do the clio16v/williams have. IIRC its girling but cant really be sure. I am changing front pads, and want to go something a little uprated than standard. Any recommendations on good stoppers, especially from cold - high temp brake fade aint a worry at the moment, as its staying off track until the engine is rebuilt next year???
Cheers
Like you say your staying away from the track for the time being. I would opt for an uprated pad instead. Not sure what one to go for but try EBC / Mintex as they are pretty darn good!
Best of luck
EBC have sum pads that work from cold , not sure wot there called though, might be "red stuff" brake pads???
yeah, maybe i didnt make myself very clear!
im JUST changing the pads! got 4 pot wilwood setup PLANNED for next year. I need to know the type of caliper setup the 16v/williams runs, so i can BUY pads!
Any other suggestions/recommendations of good pads? and prices?
they are girlings matey.
ferrodo standard pads are better than ebc etc I have found.
cheers chris! thot so, but thot id better check b4 ordering some new uns!
you ken how to change them ok?
Its piss easy, only need a 13mm and a 17mm spanner, dollop o copper grease and only undo the top one tilt it forward, takes 10 mins to do.
it is very easy, even i can do it LOL
Rally Design sometimes sell some Ferodo DS2000 pads on Ebay for £14 delivered
ive got some, id go with those, as just like Chris ive found all these other makes just cant compete for a normal/fast road pad......ive tried EBC, TarOx, Pagid and im going back to Ferodo forever from now on
OK. Ferodo DS2000 it si then!
