Are williams alloys anodised metal? What is anodised metal?
Can i use metal polish on my silver rims?
dont think they are but anodised is quite litterally to coat a metal surface electrolytically with a protective or decorative oxide.

Yeah that sounds right. Like gavinsing?
Anodising is just a decorative finish. It's achieved by putting the object in a solution and running a current through the part to be anodised. This attracts the solution to the job. therefore getting a equal coating all over.
Galvanising is done in the similar way but obviously serves a purpose other than decorative.

Anodising is also forms a protective layer to prevent oxidisation, also used to improve fatigue life etc etc.
Yeh used to prolong life of surface its covering but doesn't necessarily prevent oxidisation.
