Untensioned the belt in order to swap alternator.. cant retension the aux pulley! its a twat! spanners flew yesterday... any tips to get it to bite lol

Check that the teeth haven't sheared off on the mounting.
happens all the time, if you turn it and it doesnt tension, then get out the leverbar.
Just needs a bit of gentle persuasion to get moving again, so that the teeth line up and rotate accordingly.
You should expect things like this by now...come its FRENCH!!

The tensioner on mine is ****ed the allen key bit in the middle is rounded. Ended up modifying the alternator braket (slotting the top hole) to act as a tensioner.
