View Full Version : Ph.1 & Ph.2 ECUs
Are all 1995 valvers phase 2's. What makes a phase 2 valver a phase 2? Is it because it has a lamda sensor?
I am asking because I want to put the map EPROM from a R 19 ECU into my valver ECU.

Dunno mate. I know phase 1 ecu's are the only ones that work in phase 2. The phase 2's have the immobiilser built in and are encoded so you cant swap them around.
You need a phase 1 ecu. Keep your eyes on this

Cheers, so I need a Ph.1 ECU to work on my ph.2. Will that render the immobiliser inoperative?

Yeah mate, Think the immobilser is cut out so it wont work. Phase 1's didnt have immobilsers. Just noitced the ecu on ebay has no delivery :? collect only
But the immobiliser will be stuck on then????? Surely you'll need a phase 2 ecu to enable you to disarm the immobiliser?

No mate, the immobilser is inside the phase 2 ecu. You put a phase 1 ecu in and you dont have an immobiliser. When i had ecu probs i tried to swap mine for my mates phase 2 ecu and the immobiliser light just flashe all the time and it wouldnt start. Bought a phase 1 ecu off ebay and it worked fine.
