View Full Version : Williams Wide Track Kits
Would any valver owners be interested in one. gonna try and source the parts for the kits in bluk to cut down in price.
Really does make a difference imo
Kit will include
Williams front shocks
Williams drivshaft - brand new or second hand
19 ARB with new bushes
Williams wishbones
Cheers
Winston
yer mate, again depending on price also with a choice of coilovers optional extra, do a price with without it?
Danny
Renault price £830 +vat
Gonna try and get my kit down to £750.....thats for everything needed...for a Brand new fresh williams suspension set up.
but could do it cheaper with second handshafts etc..etc depends on the spec you want.
Would come boxed with fitting instruction/diagrams
Or
2live tunin fitting at extra cost lol.
Thanks for your feedback
Winston
Whats the cost likely to be without the o/e willy suspension?...I'd want to go for coilovers instead...

Winston
could be at a reduced cost for kits bought from ur good self
right i might be on for this as im wanting a different ride height now with these new tires and could do with willy track, would need to get the money together first but could you break down the costs for me winston?
Just so i would know if i could make any savings on second hand parts and if i would?
also i'd like to see how much with coilovers, go with AVO's?
Danny
Still got to sort out prices.....
But willy springs and shocks cost £255.84+vat Renault
You would save £200 opting for second hand shafts
As for a run down of the prices....I don't have any yet..lol.....need a renault parts contact.
2live Tunin and Winston development........Special package deals
When I sell the williams I might well go for this ! Keep us updated Winston.. :)
All good man!!!!! Im on the case.
Possible Alternative Parts Source!!! Plz read;
Been tempted to wide track my ickle 1.2 and have been looking into some of the parts needed...namely the ARB. Now as we know, you can use either a williams item or a R19 16v item but these still cost money and are relatively hard to source in most of your common scrapyards, not to mention the condition they'll probably be in. However, i've been told over on Retro-renault that the R19 valver shares its ARB with the rest of the 19 range which expands options for sourcing....furthermore since a megane is basically a restyled 19 the same will also be true.
I can't say for 100% sure until i have an example megane item but i guess you'll be better off getting a megane item as it'll be in better condition (than a s/h willy/19 item) but regardless of s/h or new, will be the cheapest option as it's not seen as a 'performance' part.
As an example i've commited to buying a megane ARB...for £9 and it's mint! Beats the £75 i paid renault for a williams item last year...
I knew about 19 ARB but the megane would be a better idea. as it would be fresher.
So does the meggy one fit??
Yes, it will - it looks identical but i also have it on good authority from one of the techies on retro-renault that it will.
^^^ I like that man!
I'm after doing this as cheaply as I can - going to save for the willy coilovers first then source the funds for the other bits and bobs...
Just a point about the megane ARB - only the ones from the non cabro/non coupe cars will fit. Chris H over on retro-renault says these two models had 2mm thinner ARB's compared to the rest of the 19 and megane range so aren't suitable.
