Popular file-sharing site WinMX.com ceased operating and the New York office of another, eDonkey.com, appeared to be closed, in the continuing legal fallout among underworld peer-to-peer music services, industry sources and users said on Wednesday.
The turmoil among file-sharing networks follows the landmark ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court in June that held anyone who distributes a device used to infringe copyright is liable for the resulting acts of infringement by others.

wondered why i couldnt access there network! also there home page has gone as well! shame really as i thought it was a very easy to use program!

ive tried bearshare but its cack! the free version makes u have popups! so ive tried limewire and that seems even faster and better than win mx! www.limewire.com ???? i think thats the addy! if not do a search!

i have limewire. I really cant diss it. Dont pay for the pro version as you can download it on limewire. well thats what i did anyway :wink:

fast searches and quick downloads (dependent on peers) it really is great

yeah limewires pretty awsome, their not the brightest of people (i know this is copyright but hey :wink: )
if you get the basic, just serch for limewire pro and u can download that lol

cant believe no one has mentioned soulseek, its been the daddy of p2p for years!

failing that DC++ is 2nd best

limewire doesnt touch these 2 imo
