View Full Version : valver mileage
Ive been looking at getting a valver for a while now but worried bout high mileage ones. When the mileage gets into the 100,000s are they gonna fall apart? What sort of mileage will these go upto?
any help appreciated

i had 125k on my first valver mate and that was still solid as a rock even though i abused it every day.....poor thing
I've got an RSi, on 124k now, solid as a rock, done god knows how many track dasy etc etc.
Engines are pretty soound, its the rets of the car, look for rust, and normal stuff like suspension system, exhaust etc ete
thanks for that just was making sure if i bought a high mileage one it werent gonna die on me. The 1.2 is just to slow now 80mph max has good to acceleration upto bout 40 then it struggles the rest of the way.
123k on the clock and touch wood, she's still as good as ever, if not better!
Ran 120bhp at the wheels and she's fairly standard!

mines on 142k - engines a bit tappety when cold, but runs fine and doesnt use any oil.
Depends if the cars been looked after/ maintained
Ive driven some dogs with under 90k and minters with over 130k

Mines got 146k on it  Still runs fine and pulls hard although recently started burning a bit more oil than normall. I give it hell though, it hits 7k day in day out. Hope it breaks then its f7r time :P
^^ that's wah t i think about mine tbh... on 130,000 and running well but as soon as it gives way in any form i'm just gonna get a f7r engine in there :D
mines on 151k, but its had a rebuild hehe
Dannys is a very fast example, didnt realise it was on 123k mate !.....it shifts !
cheers mate, she's rackin up the milage now, i use her everyday for work and it's a fair distance!
mines on 27k now and running in still...
rest of car is almost on 80k tho! :O
mines on 15k now.and still running in hehe
old valver was on 115k when i sold it.just needed a clutch..ran in the 15s which was a rarity 3 years ago lol.......unfortunately the 2nd owner after me couldnt handle the power and wrapped the fukker up....twat
lol, off topic but I saw my old car on Swervins road the other day... i didn't get sentimental though, that car bored me to tears, no guts at all...
Jon, rebuild my engine for me today please mate, mileage is getting a bit high... I need to move to Warrington to keep my miles down I think, maybe Wigan ;) pmsl

Most phase 2s (172/182) have terrible sounds when idling after being started up, think thats the thing with renault engines. Mines 2 years old next month, done 28K (Thats the whole thing you lot!!! ) runs like a dream when running, just hates being idle...no matter whether engine temp is cold or hot!
Dunno if thats any help, you never know.
