View Full Version : Manifold for RSi
Been on google most of the afternoon trying to fnd one anywhere, but no joy.
Anyone got any ideas, i swear the pipes on the std one aren't even 1" accross
Tried looking for volvo manifolds? not sure if they would fit though?
Well i know the volvo 440 had the same engine, slight problem though, it has a ruddy great turbo on it, although i'm not entirley sure where that comes off, manifolds MIGHT be the same
Lunner, just give up and buy a williams engine???

Lunner, just give up and buy a williams engine???
Thats far too easy, and hopefully i shoud be looking at 150+ bhp with alot more low down torque than a williams at the end of it......plus no one has done anything like this before

:-) your more than welcome to attend my local rr to verify the 150 BHP. and torque :-)
i like interesting projects.. lets have pics, etc and proof :-D
You will do, i'mn going on by what has been done to an rsi lump and the gains, then then what i'm doing extra.
All pics so far are up at www.lunner.co.uk, unfortunatly nothing very exciting has happened yet, got the head straipped apart from valves and thats it.
Start work on the manifold this week i think while o gather some funds to get the headwork started

Ditto, and now i'm doing engine work, the lot, i'm a trainee mnkey
Lunner,
have a look for renault 5 1.7 manifolds as these should fit (since this is the engine that volvo turbod) and R5's have the same floorplan as clios.
Also, I know these engines were used in a single seater series so you may also be lucky enough to get a race inlet off one too for more power...if it'd fit...
