Hi

Had this on ebay but having not sold and being pestered by the usual timewasters and p/ex merchants I'm advertising it on here hoping that it will be snapped up by an enthusiast who will look after it!
MOT - March 2017
Mileage - 138425 (car is in storage and will not rise)
Price - £5200

Standard Equipment
Original Radio Cassette Player with Fingertip Control / Gold Speedline Alloys with polished lip / Electric tilt and slide sunroof / Fog lights / Electric Windows / Spare Key

Exterior
The body on a Williams differs from a standard clio in the way of revised bumpers and flared wheel arches. The Clio Williams 3 is finished in 432 Monaco Blue and shows its age well. The body is free from dents and has only minor age related markings. The car is complete with all its badges and gold williams markings. The bumpers have had the black insert colour coded in the cars life, however this could be easily reverted back if the new owner wishes.

Interior.
The interior is in great order – the seats are fully bolstered and not showing any wear. There is a small mark on the passenger side base but due to the design of the fabric this is barely noticeable. The car has its original blue seatbelts and parcel shelf with suit carrier attached to the underside!
The dials are original and blue backed – as per factory. The oil level gauge works correctly on start up and the oil pressure and oil temperature gauge also work correctly. The fuel gauge becomes erratic on hard driving if the car has under ¼ tank left, a common problem with these cars. Electric windows both work, although the passenger side is slow. Again, a common problem with these cars – thought to be a build up of dirt within the mechanism.
The dash and plastics present well, with no scratches, dents or cracks in the dash top as is common in older cars. The stereo is the original radio cassette unit and can be operated by fingertip control – uprated pioneer speakers are fitted too.

Engine and Transmission
The F7R engine has been well maintained over the years and is backed up by a good service history, old MOT's and evidence of a cambelt and tensioner change 25k ago. The interval on these engines is 72k. The oil was last changed under 500 miles ago when the car was MOT’d. The engine fires into life on the first turn of the key, and revs freely and happy through the rev range. It is completely standard bar a K&N filter in the original airbox. On inspection the car has recently had a new exhaust, header tank and radiator. It maintains temperature well and holds good oil temperature and pressure and runs without smoke or any tapping.
As with all williams’ the car has a typically french driving position and a stiff sports clutch. The gearbox works well through all the gears, with no crunching or whining.

Wheels/tyres/suspension and brakes
The gold speedline wheels are in fantastic condition with no marks or corrosion on the faces, the polished lip is present and the wheels have no kerb marks. It has the correct sized 185/55 R15 Michelin Pilot Exalto tyres, all with 6/7mm. The discs and pads look recent, although I think the brake fluid could benefit from a change.
The car rides well with no knocks or bangs and tracks straight. The springs and shocks are in good order, the only amendment being spax adjustable shock absorbers on the rear of the car.

Overall
Clio Williams are a fast appreciating hot hatch classic – this car although not concourse wears its age well. The interior and body work are in fantastic condition and would make a great daily retro driver, or an easy project for someone to restore it to original condition. I’m selling as I bought the car after I couldn’t find a 3 door red 16v Mk2 golf. Sods law that when I bought this a golf turned up! I’ve now got 2 cars and the clio isnt being used so it has to go. I’m open to reasonable offers on the car and may take a part ex if it involves cash my way, although it would have to be something interesting or have 2 wheels!
The car is currently SORN and in a garage under a cover waiting for its new owner. Although I welcome viewings, please only do so if you have the funds available so as not to waste mine and your time!
My number is 07540 290383 if you wish to give me a call.

I've already been told that! Looks like I might be keeping the Williams anyway - no one seems to be buying!
