WANTED - AERIAL

Need the aerial to go in here

is it just the screw in bit ur missing?, the aerial screws into the base, if not ull need a new one.. take the cover of the interior light and get the whole light unit out.. the aerial is held on with one bolt.. undo that then this'll come out.. when fitting the new one.. if u have some silicone or summink to rub round the underneath of the aerial fitting so its water tight to the roof.. I have an original long aerial (just the aerial.. not the base), unused.. not sure what its worth.. call it £10 inc postage.. I also have the cable that runs from the roof to the headunit aswell if needed.. if u want that too call it £15.. hope that sounds fair

Hi Vandella, first of all thanks for the info. When you say original long aerial, I assume you changed your for a smaller?

yeah, the oe part is quite long..

What did you replace it with mate?

I think just a shorter aerial from Halfords.. just have to make sure the thread on the screw bit at the bottom of the aerial is the same size as the base and fits..

something similar to the above, the length was just my choice on looks.. you can go shorter or longer..

Right ok so it looks like I need to check if its just missing the aerial or whether its actually broken then. If its just missing the aerial ill probably just buy that one you linked, If I need a whole new base then ill take your old one :)

if you need a whole new base, they come as pack from Renault.. base, cable and aerial.. forget the price, maybe worth a call at lunch.. ;-) unless someone has a spare base on here as that's the bit I don't have..

Got the wifey to grab me a pic of the base, looks like it may be snapped off as I cant see a screw thread

you need a new round base (from ebay) and a original long aerial.
