What do people think about a map of the UK on the forum, with the location of members and/or thier cars marked on it. Like pistonheads used to have for the used car search. You could see where everyone was, who lives near you and so on.

Anyone ?

Sure, stick it in Excel and link with Bing maps or whatever. Would work.

would be a good idea..don't mind doing it but will need some input of address how u want ur location to be viewed.. postcodes are quite precise.. and a little un-nerving possibly.. so how about home town/village and county.. along with name..

Good point re postcodes, the thought of somone being able to pin-point my cars exact location, isnt a great idea tbh. Town/village and or county is probably best.
I'm trying to remember how the pistonheads map function worked.....I think you typed in the make of car you were looking for and they appeared as pin type markers on a map of the uk, then when you held your mouse cursor over said pin, details of the car for sale popped up. Somthing similar would be a good maybe?

Also it may be an idea to include the owners that are based around the EU, and then theres purple in far east and jesus down in oz.
