hello all,
my mk1 williams imobiliser is playing up.
i unlock the car via the central locking key
put the imobiliser key in the slot
it does 1 long beep and 3 short beeps
the red light flashes THEN stays solid red
put key in ignition, turn and... NOTHING (just the click of rejection in the engine bay)
whats the best solution here?
Rip it out?
replace it?
solder something in the ecu?
any helps great!
rip it out, don't touch the ECU, none of the Williams' had an immobiliser so what you have is aftermarket so just get shot of it
what is clicking - the starter?
didn't spot the click part, if its coming from starter then its probably the connection to the starter
does the car bump start?
almost sounds like your low on juicy in the battery. Might just be me thinking. don't rly know what immobalizers you guys had after-fitted over there (im from sweden)

clicking sounds like some sort of relay, i was stuck in a car park for 30mins at one point and it turned over after loads pissing about, defo think its immobiliser but will have a look at battery/starter motor etc
sounds more like a starter to me. Clean up the earth and positive cable connections to it. That does the trick for most
