how shit is auto bidding.. I thought Ebay was meant to keep u on your toe's checking bids every now and again.. not have some auto bid that does it all for you.. or the other person.. ruins the auction/bidding side.. yeah u could go in with a stupid bid.. but that's not what I thought ebay was about.. has anyone else been pissed off with this?.. it doesn't show u what the top bid is so you could be there for hours going up pound by pound only to get a message each time you bid that you've been outbid already.. wtf.. Pony! Rant over!

I usually avoid auctions as I cba with the hassle but on the rare occasions where something I want is on an auction & the seller wont end it I'll go with a sniping tool as my time is too valuable to be pissing about constantly checking

Isn't the idea with eBay bidding that you at supposed to work out the maximum you are prepared to pay, then it bids you up to that. When bidding goes above that amount then you loose out.

I've noticed that other people seem to bid repeatedly in small increments. That seems like a waste of time to me?

eBay would be better if you didn't know when the auction was going to end.
That way when you found something you wanted, you would put your maximum bid on as it might be gone the next time you look.
Trouble is, Ebay don't care about the sellers.
