Anyone hit any ideas what the weight difference is?

Not carbon but... I have a fibreglass bonnet at 7.5kg. Standard one is roughly 16.5kgs so a 9kg saving for fibreglass.

Anyone got figures for carbon, and cost, haha? Fibreglass one came on a car I bought that is now a race project.

Depends entirely on how it's constructed but single skin bit of carbon or plastic is the lightest but others have a bit more structure to them so they're stiffer as the single skin ones can flap about a bit easier
