Looking for a Williams 1

Good morning all, I have cash waiting for a Williams 1, been looking for a year or so now with no joy, I have money waiting if anyone on here can help I would really appreciate it, not massively bothered about condition as will enjoy the project

A car only becomes categorised if its been written off. If the insurance has repaired it then there is no trace of it being categorised.

Renault Clio Williams 1 - £3,450

For sale is my Renault Clio Williams 1 # 139, I have owned the car since September 2012 and in that time have covered only 600 miles – 300 of which was my commute from picking the car up, due to this lack of use, I am looking to sell it. This is my 2nd Williams having owned a Williams 3 prior to this for circa 4 years.

The car is currently SORN’d and being stored in my garage, the current MoT expires in May 2013. On the last MoT there were no faults/issues and only one advisory – for the buyer I am willing to tax (6months) the car.

The car has much receipts and service history (Not FSH though)– highlights include full interior out respray a couple of years ago, new tailgate, new scuttle panel, refurbished and un-marked alloy wheels, 4 as new michi’s, new gear knob, recent (being mileage) discs and pads all round.

Since being re-sprayed the car has been (dry) stored – it has not seen the wet for the last 3.5 years. As such, the bodywork is “as new” and one of the factors that contributed to me not driving it as much as I expected.

Although being SORN’d for the last 4/5 months I still start the car periodically and drive it up and down the drive to avoid any starting issues.

Engine wise the car, the car feels pretty solid – it returns 3 to 4 bar on cold idle, 5/6 bar on cold driving and idles when hot about 0.5 bar. The gear box is smooth with no clunks or crunches and the engine pulls smoothly in each gear with no flat spots. The engine however is tappety when cold – although this is a common issue.

Modification wise, the car has 2 mods: A s/s powerflow exhaust (Do not have original exhaust), Renault Sport Sabelt wheel which is smaller and blue in colour (matches interior car) of which I can either sell with the car or swap with the original.

The car is on approx 120k and had 9 former keepers.

The car is located in Aberdeen, about 5 miles from Aberdeen airport. I do often travel to the N/W so dependent on a number of factors would be willing to transport the car for the right deal – if that makes things easier for the buyer.

I am willing to listen to offers but not looking for any p/x opportunities.

Due to recent weather conditions I have been unable to get out to take more pictures of the car – but, see below for a starter.
