I would be tempted to learn a trade such as plumbing....why don't you look up on the internet companies like British gas to see if they are recruiting....there is good money in trades like this or being an electrician.

You are young enough to get retrained...what are your qualifications?

Key in British gas recruitment and look at their academy, either apprenterships or trainee schemes.

sit down and make a list of your interests - and find out if there's anything you can move into - i.e. one of the best jobs I've had was as manager of the local UGC [formally Virgin] multiplexes - was 11 screens and meant working with a bunch of really great people and watching all the films pre release - only downside was long hours and major stress - but still a great job - use the interenet to do as much research as poss and don't be afriad to write to co's you like the sound off. Find out the top bods name and direct the letter [in which you tell them why they just need to employ you!!!!] to them - marked Private & Confidential. Find out about courses and possible apprenticeships you can go on - GOOD LUCK :D

Get on the dole man. Cant beat getting up at the crack of noon, having a beer and sun bathing in the garden.

Go down teh trade route IMO. It's something I'm considering myself at the mo, even tho I work as a professional engineer.

Office work is dull, and I'm very much a hands on type of person. If I knew the money would be similar I'd do it straight away.

£25k is more than I currently earn as a bored professional degree qualified engineer.

Mind you it could end up being much more if I stuck with it but I'd still be bored shitless. :(
