As above thoughts on what we reckon are the best uprated engine mounts for my Williams 2

In process of refurbing car and while engine is out its having cams & pulleys, supersprint manifold etc.....

Will be doing afew track days/ 1/4 mile events next year so will need mounts that will provide good traction off the line etc

Had K-tec's uprated mounts on my last clio which gave brilliant traction but shook the car to death under load (on motorway etc) so could really do with the best of both worlds

so whats our suggestions and rough price guide, cheers Liam

You wont be able to have the 5 engine mounts then

1st off get the powerflex bushes for the dogbone mount, then get the R19/172 4th mount & bracket that goes on the gearbox. After that there's not much else you can do apart from new mounts or the rock hard k-tec things

I'm in a process of fabricating a 5th mount which will enable you to keep the power steering. I'll post some pics when it's done in case anyone is interested...

Well, to be honest, it will probably be ready in January or February, but I'll put up a thread to see if there will be any interest to produce a few more.

The K-Tec mounts are good. Very solid. More vibration from engine to the cabin though, but not horrendous.
