I'm finally getting around to thinking about breaking my old valver (shell is bent and rusty so can't save her) and I want to take out the engine including gearbox and anything else of use.
At that point I want to move the shell out of the garage to be taken away. I was thinking of bodging together some sort of car dolly but the garage is on a small gravel slope and I think the small wheels would just dig in and gracefully launch the shell into the road like a ship.
With the engine out and driveshafts off but wheels on would the steering rack be enough to hold everything together for a quick turn of 90 degrees to the kerb?
Can a recovery truck winch a shell up with only the rear wheels?
Any ideas?
