Can we get bucket seats etc cheap as a Club anywhere, and where can I get some nice seat runners for them too? I am not tall so can't sit too low!

Fanks :D

You can buy my seats quite cheap if you like :winkey:

With proper mounts you can adjust the height to suit, I got mine from larkspeed iirc, not cheap but well worth it imo as they're mk1 clio specific. http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?p=COSFRE03&a=i
Depending how high you want to go you might want to get side mounts instead of just base mounts

What are those big side ones I see? Do they fit on the base bit?

You forgot what my car is then you retard??

They replace the whole lot Matthew, they're their own runners so it doesn't matter what phase the car is, wouldn't be surprised if they're lighter than the standard stuff either :winkey:

These. As the name implies they fit to the side of the seat

Now the subframe I posted up earlier - this is harder to explain as I never took any pics when fitting mine  - comes in 3 parts, 1 bolts to the floor of the car and the other 2 parts are the actual runners, they bolt onto the bottom of the seat and then onto the bit you bolted to the floor. With the side mounts, you'd bolt them onto the side of the seat, then onto the runners, then onto the bit on the floor. At worst you might have to drill some holes in the bottom of the mounts to line up with the bolt holes in the runners.

Clear as mud? :bootyshake:

With the side mounts, are they universal? As I wouldn't have thought the holes would be in the same place on every model.

A worthy question, Mr Brown, and the very same that vexes me yet even now, as I look with weary eyes to yonder bed.

(sorry, been reading Shakespeare)

I'm not 100% sure but I think all side mountable bucket seats have the holes in exactly the same places plus on every side mount bracket I've ever seen 1 set of holes are slotted to allow for slight differences

I have Sparco seats in mine - very happy with them so im brand loyal.

Passenger side: I have alloy side mounts side bolted down to the standard points using the holes provided - but with plastic spacers between the side mount and the bucket seat to get the width correct.
Drivers side: I have a Recaro direct fit adjustable subframe with a base mount fixing to the bucket seat.

Thanks Northy, got any pics of that drivers side?

my set up is too high for me if im honest. i would like to lower mine down a bit

adiclio16v
15-02-2013, 20:46
Plank is too allow for the slidy bit of seat subframe so they will be that same height as shown in pic , I'm a short arse and I didn't struggle with them cobra seats although I like bein a bit higher , wonder if you could move the column down a bit , Northy isn't vertically challenged so could prob just strap himself too the floor

Every1 needs a piston ornament mite have a spare one if u want it lol

the cobra ones were alright. out of 51. i spent many an hour in there. im not the tallest of people but i never had a problem with them being too low.

i think they were about £50 a side for the subframes. altho i had a few probs with the runners. iirc they are for ph2 seats.
