View Full Version : 182 disks
Do 182 / 172 disks mount stright on the williams hubs??
If they do, can you mount a 182 caliper onto a williams ??
Or are the hub mounting points totaly different requiring new brackets etc.
not sure on the calipers etc but the discs are a straight bolt on, I use them on valver hubs with my hispec calipers
coops you dont happen to have an old disk laying about do you ? :D
Pretty sure foxy used to have 172 brakes on his valves so I reckon most bits bolt straight on or easily adaptable.
I don't Allan mate no, I chucked the old ones and they were 'hispec' rip off ones which iirc were 285mm, 172's are 283mm I think so slightly different!lol! :D
i shall have to do some investigation ;D
be carefull !
Williams bolt distance = 54 mm
172= 58 mm
182= 58 mm
Megane 1 (1.6 & 2.0)= 58 mm
182 CUP = 60 mm + more splines on driveshaft
172 ragnotti (euro)= 60 mm + more splines on the driveshaft
and something else...never shared this info excuatly:

182 cup/ 172 ragnotti hub + Clio V6 calipers = straith fit (NO BRACKETS)
quite interesting
Just been diggi through the garage and found two full sets of wilwod calipers a set of superlites and some dynalites :D
So might just template them up in wood and get the house mate to machine some brackets up :D
