Grrr fan temp! How many sensors!!

Hey guys so i fitted a new fan switch today as my fan wasent cutting in. Now its on constant. Ive had trouble with the car temp gauge, it reads max with light on constantly, so ive ordered a new sensor, but why is the fan on constantly any ideas?

Maybe the thermostat has had it's day. I changed my one when for a low temp stat and changed the switch at the same time.
