Are they only available from Renault or you can get them anywhere else?

They are available elsewhere but genuine ones only cost about £1 more if you get them from RPD

Why would you want new top mounts?

They are solid metal covered in rubber. If the rubber isnt perished then second hand ones will be just as good as new ones. The thing you need to replace is the bearing. Which is fairly cheap from renault.

Do you happen to know the part number for the bearing? I belive thats my problem but I didn't know if you can buy it new without other top mount parts?

I dont, but i have bought just the bearing before. I think the bearing kit is what you have to ask for, and i think it came with a new bag of clips as wel. Its expensive for what it is but cheap for renault. ut this was 3 or so years ago, so prices may have changed.

Thanks for you reply, I'll look into it and if I get them(just bearings) I'll also write here the price and part number.

If they are available from gsf and are cheaper i would get them from there. I cant see how the quality can be lower than the renault ones to be honest, they are such simple bearings. Probably the same part.

Renault supply them as a kit. About three years ago I paid about £33 each side for them from Renault.

I seem to remember i was offered the kit, but when i pushed the issue i got just the bearings much cheaper.

But i have no idea if this is still the case.
