JB3 IIRC. Not sure on ratios.

hmmm so lets say they do runlow 11 with JB3's and a whole lot of boost on those 1.4 engines than the JC5 are suppose to hold the a F7R on high boost or not?

JB3 is a weaker box then the JC5. If that's what you want to know.

Internally yes, but externally they're both still made of the same piss weak cheesey failure material

i know the JC5 are stronger. what im after is what parts of the boxes fails. is it the internal of the external casting? is it just the circlip failure?

ive seen reinforced GB, at the circlip side will that be enough?
ive abused the JC5 box allot at 10psi with the turbo till what torque are they proven to hold?

I've seen broken castings and the car wasn't boosted. Circlip is nothing compared to other gearbox failures. You can do a bolt in circlip, it's been done before, you can find a guide on C16V IIRC. A major upgrade regarding gearbox would be the swap for other item(marque). Honda gearboxes are better. The K20A Civics(TypeR's) have also LSD as standard. But then adapter plate and costum driveshafts must be made. Either way it's expensive.

pics to folow when its finished but bare in mind:

hydraulic clutch conversion
adaptor plate
modified bellhousing
modified primary shaft (diff spline profile)
modified shafts
speedo

Some people will say, go VAG or Honda, but i'm driving renault wich means only renault parts for me (imho)

Atm i'm using the JC5-014 with solid rings, new internals, sport spider syncro's and also the (short) 5th gear. (high compression engine running a stupid ammount off rpm's....9000 area)

Hey JO

I will drop u a PM tommorow. I think the JC5 is better of for me. My GB is doing great still but I know for sure that it will drop once I get real traction and run slicks on the dragg strip.
