Hi there,
I dont have a clio but i have a megane F7R,
Im looking for the imobiliser to be removed from my ecu or flashed off, in order for me to then put a remote start fuction on this car. The imobiliser locks the car with the key and without the key to unlock this the car will not ever start,

Anyone know any info on this or know anyone that is a renault ECU specialist ?

Cheers,

Lewis -

Not familiar with the immobiliser setup on those, is it a chip in the key?
If so then just take it out and tape it to the barrel

Erm, this is as much as i know about it:-

The key is infa red, old school type. Once the infa red is sent it sends a 4 digit code to unlock the imboliser on the ECU, allowing 30 seconds roughly for the car to be started. If the car is not started within 30 seconds the imobiliser then re arms its self.

If the key does not unlock the car, then you can not start the car. The imobiliser kicks back in and locks the engine down. The 4 digit code is obtainable from either renault or some fancy program that i cant find. You can put the code in by counting the imobiliser light flashing. Like my last code was 3446. So you hold down the lock button for the central locking until the light flash's 3 times, let go, start again etc etc.

I just want the imboliser gone without going the standalone managment route, as thats rather costy :)

Any ideas are apreciated, i have considered getting a new chip made for my ecu, and deleting the imboliser off it. But then im not too sure wether my car will actually work again :)
