As title, need a new & unused idler pulley, already got a belt & tensioner so don't need those

Just the final bits I need for my new engine so who's got 1 going spare?

It came out of an INA kit from GSF, I'm pretty sure it was never fitted.

Your looking for an AUX BELT idler pulley!
There isnt an idler pulley for the cambelt on an F7R.

That's the part I'm after fab, the cam belt kits have a tensioner and an idler pulley

But in typical, paddy style shit timing, I've just bought 1 half hour ago

I am? Well which one is it then?
If you make a statement like that follow it up with fact.
Thank You!

You show me which pulley you call the idler then? And if I'm wrong I will throw away the manual!

simple fact, you said there isn't an idler and there is. no other facts needed really.

http://1.2.3.9/bmi/i21.photobucket.com/albums/b300/fabtrader/DSC02894.gif

that is an idler, the other one is a tensioner

Can't see your pic so i'm still not sure which one you think is an idler?

Fact:
An idler pulley is a specific part of a vehicle’s belt system that helps regulate how belts run from the crankshaft to generate movement in other parts and engine accessories.
They are commonly found in car's with serpentine belts which run across many pulleys.

The cambelt on an F7R would not be categorized as a serpentine belt and most certainly the cambelt does NOT traverse multiple pulleys.

So what your saying is the Service Manual is incorrect and the Cambelt kits from GSF are incorrect?

PMSL, what in ****s name are you drivelling on about?

that picture above is the part he needs. It's an idler (ie it is not driving anything, and is not a tensioner)

You know what, i've been polite with you up until this point.

You started this with your post of "your wrong", inciting a response and potential flame war from me.
I was only trying to give Lee a leg up by helping to identify the part name correctly and you come on when it is mostly resolved to start an agro.

The manual does not call it an idler and neither does the box it came in.

And seeing as your being ignorant and rude in your replies, especially from someone who represents a business, it tells me that your an amature and have no people skills.

good luck and good night.

Middle right is the idler.
Which is this one:

I'm not disputing your reference Mat, but I expected better etiquette from Danny, thats all.

It is an idler pulley that maintains cambelt tension. But its not an adjustable tensioner. But this is stupidly obvious?

This argument is about as feeble as saying an auxilary belt isnt the same as a serpentine belt or a fan belt e.t.c

You's dont get it do you's?

An idler in the dictionary is something that does nothing.
The fact of the matter is this pulley acts as a deflector and tensioner, it is hardly idle. Point being in the fooking queens english and in my view a tensioner.

And further to that fact it's main purpose is to tension at that point because of the drop from the inlet sprocket to the crank is so long.

It is irrelevant at this point whether you call it an idler or a tensioner.
As per behaviour on an online forum well that point I made above.

Sorry lads I've had enough...

Last point i was making was that it was listed under idler pulleys on that website.
