Hi guys,
The williams has been off the road for almost 2 months. I need a new drive shaft (n/s). ECP do not do them anymore. Renault will charge 207 +VAT!!!.
No one on here who is breaking their willys has one!
What are my options. I just want the car running, so I can sell it. Unless some one takes it off me (by purchasing it!!)....but it does not move as the shaft has snapped!
thanks
where has it snapped. U can get new joints for either end

It has snapped just before the outer cv joint. The shaft has snapped clean through.

thanks wobba,
Just tried them. None in stock. Offered a refurb of mine, but its snapped!
I think renault only at this stage. Or valver one with spacers? but where do I get the spacers from?
If it gets too pricey, I may just have to break the car :(
I wonder if friction welding it is an option?
Just to give you an idea, when I had my diff done I may have needed the shaft length changed so was offered a friction weld done for like £20/30.
You MAY lose a weeny bit of length but I don't think it will affect the car much and it means it's back on the road at least. It's a serious weld and wont break if done right.

Sounds like a good idea. Where could I get that done?
You'll need to research this option yourself.
I know Gripper Diffs use someone to do it.

Thanks. Will look into it.
use a r19 16v shaft to get you out of trouble until you are able to get a williams shaft ( like hens teeth  ).
they are slightly longer (18mm) but do fit and will do for the minute :D
