I found some sick gold speedlines in 17"

They are 4x100 et38.

Will this fit Williams without rubbing? What tyres shall i buy? 205 40 17?

Will this work out? Would love to have this set on my car for show.

Help guys, cheers.

Marko.

They would but why do you want 17's on a Williams,i wouldunderstand if it was a valver, youll ruin the drive/handling aswell but its your car.Im sure youll get a few more responses.

Yes they should fit fine with that tyre size, but as above, its a terrible idea if you care about how your car handles.

If you think it looks nice though, and that is all that matters to you, then go for it.

Just wanted to put it on the car for shows, I like collecting wheels.
A mate of mine said I would have to go for 195 40 17? Twingo RS Cup tyre?
Expensive as **** for something that will do 15 miles a year...

Probably you are looking at Speedline 2012. There's loads of pictures on the internet with 17'' Speedlines fitted. But IMHO 17'' rims on a Williams doesn't look good, not to mention that ride is completely ruined, but for shows that doesn't matter.

I will fit 16'' Speedline 2012 wheels at some point, because I think that's the biggest wheel standard looking Willy can take. If I will ever make a Clio Maxi replica, I will fit 17'' or 18'' wheels, but that goes well with Maxi's wide bodykit and fills arches nicely.

Thanks guys.
Yes they are 2012 and I was wondering if it will fit.
Guys, I bought williams cos' of the way it handles and drives, I run refurbished original lines, but I want something like this for show :)

So guys, no rubbing on 17's? Snowman?

diditno, thanks mate, they look spot on the willy, but I'm not too much of a fan of Turini's.

As soon as the standard alloys come off you might aswell not have a williams, ruins the look of them completely and everyone will just think its a fake.

Ive driven a couple of normal clios with 17's and they were shockingly awful, anyone that says they handle fine on 17's obviously had a shagged williams in the first place :o

I cant understand in what way will 17" instead of 15" ruin the handling?? will they suffer massive understear / overstear dont they stop as fast, or is it just that the ride is bumpy because of the lower profile.

Ruins turn in, steering response, steering feel, speedo reading and most importantly the acceleration.

But the Ride comfort remains pretty much the same

Il be screwed if i do go the maxi route as planned as i would have to have 17's realy :o

My Williams on 195/40 17, best dimension for 17" wheels on a Williams.
On this tyres, car drives like a Williams.

weight as well, hell of a lot of unsprung weight in 17's

i had them on my first valver and tbh it was the suspension and low profile tyres that caused the issues, not the actual wheels themselves!lol!

Cant test 15" on my R5 GTE due to 325mm disks, but if i compare with other R5 i have had on 14" this car on SPAX RSX and 17" wheels turns like no other car i have tried, even the slightest turn on the steering wheel make the car change direction, can be that it weighs 880kg with me in it, about speedo reading almost all speedos shows to fast, if you get bigger wheels then it shows correct. about acceleration thats to bad, but i get bigger engines instead 8) first from F3N to F7P and now F7R turbo and its not the wheels that made me do this
