View Full Version : Hillpower
I have collected the engine I bought from Matty W yesterday. It looks ok, and the head looks good, but the stamp, which I didn't look at last night as I was totally wrecked, says it's an F7P.
Did Hillpower use valver blocks and mod them to F7R spec?
The answer is: yes they did.
i wouldnt worry to much mate, mine still has the F7P tag from when nick done my conversion but it is 100% an F7R :D
just check for the veins etc on the back of the block......

Yes, I am not overly concerned. I must admit I did panic a bit at first though!

Any specific reason why the did that?

I'd say it's more likely the plate has been swapped over.

are you saying you bought a F7P bored out to 2 litre ??
i remember a certain banned member having good times

+1
So Hill Power conversions are the weaker F7P block bored out with same crank or are they just fitted an F7R crank.......
Just to confirm, the plate has been switched from a valver block. It's an F7R700. Some nice touches from what I have seen too ;)
Guess its to fool the insurance...
An DVLA I guess, as technically you need to report changes like that to them.
aye...bit dodgy that tho...is almost the same as ringing ;)
