Ahh k, AVO GTZ uses 2.25" I/D spring.

Not sure of length as standard, but adjustment of height could accommodate different spring height as long as damper isn't bottoming out.

i run avo coilovers on my uno turbo.

the standard ones on there were the standard coilover 2.25" diametre, 9" long and 250lb.

i rang avo and ordered some 7", 300lb ones and swapped them. made my uno rediculusly bouncy, even cat eyes in the road were like pot holes. was mental! waaaaaaay too much for the road

I am thinking for track use, as even with the hardest settings there is a fair bit of roll. It may be they promote too much understeer though anwway.

I always wanted to try the mk2 ARB. Can't remember who makes them but people rated them on CS

Whiteline or something?

Justin..
23-01-2011, 12:15
That's it. I'm sure it could be fitted to a mk1

Wobba

I know CS did a bulk buy for them, but was never sure they fitted a Mk1 tbh.

the boys running the f4 conversion are running 172 arb s arent they??

something to do with better clearance for the mani ?

Justin..

I meant the rear ARB sorry and the 172 one would fit due to f7 exhaust routing

Wobba

Are we sayin then, that the Whiteline uprated front ARB would fit the Mk1 with no issues? Same bushes?

Justin..
23-01-2011, 18:12
Not unless you modify the exhaust

im sure youd be able to get a stronger front arb made mate. plenty of places would be able to sort it. im sure rod had/has someone who could do it.

IIRC Megane 2.0 16V has 25mm and Megane cabrio 24.5mm thick front ARB and I think they should fit.

Looks like Whiteline only do an uprated rear bar for Mk2's, not front.
