My williams ECU on my hybrid is borked... it turns out that the broken willy ecu has a superchip on it..

if i get this soldered onto my original 16v ecu will this be ok to run the williams?

i was under the understanding thats where the map is stored and everything else is the same anyway.

Cheers

As long as the original 16v ecu is from a phase 1. Or the 16v ECU is the one originall from your car with matching key FOB / infa red chip thingy. It will be ok.

its my original 16v ECU that matches my FOB...

so swaping them chips over should effectivly give the correct williams map..but on the fully working 16v ECU right?

I've used Ph2 ECU's on Ph1 cars as well, that worked.

Right.... I have swapped the chip over with the additional board etc...plugged it into the car...the car starts but it is ticking over at 2.5k.
The original Williams ecu that had the chip on was fine (when it worked) and the 16v ecu was fine (on the Williams engine) but when I put the Williams super chip onto the 16v ecu all of a sudden it's ticking over so high.
Has anyone got any idea about this?
Cheers

Did you ever find the reason for high idle on this mate ?

What superchip do you have ?
