K-tech do a full kit for 2.7k. Anyone an idea of how much I could put the kit together for myself? Or a complete list of what's needed, even down to the odds and sods.?

How much do superchargers come in at?

Think supercharger kits are £4.2k, but their reliability isnt really proven properly IMO.

For ITB's, off the top of my head for a williams...

Chadil DCOE manifold - £300
Jenvey 45mm DCOE ITB's - £545
Suitable jenvey Airhorns - £80
Fuel pressure reg - ~ £50
Jenvey DCOE linkage - ~ £120
Fuel rail - £60
PiperCross Sausage filter - £65
Airfilter backplate - £30
Set of 4 hi impedance injectors - £100 - £250 depending if you buy new or not.
Wasted spark coil pack - £35
Low profile radiator + silicone adaptors ot fit - ~ £80.
Cooling fan - £40

So approx - £1500 - £1600

These are relaitvely accurate ballpark figures.

+ ECU, Loom and mapping of your choice (£1k +)

So around £2.5k all in. ALthough if you look around you can get a lot of these parts second hand and save yourself a wedge.

If you're going for the 2nd hand route best places to keep an eye on are ebay & pistonheads, you want the motorsport parts section  It's where I got my 2 sets from

The injectors can be had very cheap, you can use megane f7r items, i bought a set for £20 (which i still have and dont need) i think the only thing you will have to buy new is the manifold as its a pain in the ass to find second hand, also consider the at bodie's whcih eliminates the need for a manifold

Would also reccomend having a word with sideways-danny, (519 automotive), he specialises with these sorts of conversions. I am sure he would do you a good price and tailor it yo your needs. He's a pleasure to deal with.

Im on the supercharger bandwagon, like laine said reliablity is not as good, you wont get much change out of 5k. plus what ive found is that as we all know is there no room to swing a can in the front of a 16v clio, i need to remove pas, re locate alternator, to make room for the charger. you loose all induction noise for whine, wish id of gone down the itb route purely as it would be 100 times cheaper and easier, depends how much power you want. :D

Save your money. Buy a whole car with a turbo fitted for £4k, swap the engine, then sell the rest. Be far cheaper. Every now and again a car with a suitable engine pops up.
