View Full Version : throttle body butterflies...
which one is used at WOT ? are both used at WOT (the top small one, and bottom big one)... do they go to different cylinders or what? I noticed just by pulling the throttle with engine off that only the top butterfly operates...
??? :?
pull the cable, its a staged throttle.
The small one opens until about 25% throttle, then the large one opens.
Bother are open at WOT....pull the cable, not the linkage on the front side of the body.
ah cool cheers, think i was just pulling on the linkage... where does each one go? or just into the same chamber with the 4 runners off?
reason why im asking btw is cuz my nitrous kit is just going to be single point injection for the time being, so working out where best to place the injector... im thinking from underneath pointing into the large butterfly?
They both feed into the same plenham......if you imagine just 2 holes into a box, its the same thing.
There is no great place to put a fogger for N20 on the mk1 clios induction tract...ideally it needs to be about 6" infront of the butterfly's and at an angle to it. However there is no chance of this happening......best bet is to go direct port.
the idea was to go dp anyway... just havn't heard from fred regarding the bits that was supposed to go to you.
:/
oh right, he said he was comming down in a few days or something.
tbh.for nos fitment...wizards....lol
