JC5-014, JC5-053, JC5-109 have different ratios:

JC5-014: 1st:3.09 2nd:1.863 3rd:1.321 4th:1.029 5th:0.794 FD:4.067

JC5-053: 1st:3.363 2nd:1.863 3rd:1.321 4th:1.029 5th:0.82 FD:4.067

JC5-109: 1st:3.727 2nd:2.047 3rd:1.321 4th:0.971 5th:0.738 FD: 3.733 (although 1st and 2nd relatively short but the FD is long)

The theoretical top speed in each gear at 6500 rpm with 195/50 R15 tyre size and 5% dynamic tyre radius deformation:

from top to bottom: JC5-014, JC5-053, JC5-109

I think JC5-014 would be a bit short for a decent turbo setup, especially in low gears. If you want to perfectly fit a gearbox (and gearbox ratio) to a given engine, you have to know its torque curve.

Hope this help.

i'm building a f7r turbo and am also looking for a gearbox wich will give me most top end...

so if i understand this correctly i have to use the first 2 gears of a 014 and the rest plus fg from the 109?
