View Full Version : Bucket seats
Thinking about getting some Corbeau sprint seats - What do people think of them? Are they comfortable for long journeys? The omp's I just sold were very good and I hear some can be back breaking :?

which ones are in your car now...those the ones u sold?
I woudl personalyl go for teh Cobra Monacco's, very good, and i can fully recomend them arse only started tio hurt after about 3 hours on the way to/from anglesey, got 5 harness slots, had mine for about 2 years now
Had some omp eco's - they're the ones i had at the track day jamie. Very comfortable, even when i spent all day in the car on thursday
Only sold them as they were a bit worn
Hmm - monaco's are a good bit cheaper then the sprint's!
i have the sparco sprints mate, didnt have a problem with them really on way there/back
should have said at the track day and you could ahve had a ride in them.
Next time i see you i'll take you for a ride if you haven't got some by then
Lunner, I've pot monacos too in my valver but they're quite low...
are yours?? and what type of subframes have you got??

and anyone else with monacos too, ta
Much prefer the Sparco sprint (I think) thAT I have now...my old cobra monacos were built for obese americans even a fat get like me was banging around in them.
standard willy seats are brilliant you guys are mad
speak to yozza mate, he had hold of some with renault sport printed on.
most companies will embroider/print whatever u want on em

mine are stupidly low, i had custom subframes made up, so they are about 2" off the floor of the car
My custom made super-duper low subframes, bolted directly to the car, these were not the orignal ones
Here they are on orignal subframes

I've been looking at seats off and on over the past few months, i really like the Cobra Evoloution Technology, carbon fibre etc etc

But i don't think my wallet can stretch to what is basically a £1k price tag per seat.
The evoloution is similar, but from what i can see doesn't give as much protection up the side, you don't sit in them as deeply, they also have the advantage that they are only about £350 each, but weigh more than the technology ones

This is turning into a right pain in the arse
Cobra - only do H frames (which cost 50 quid each!) and you have to use the subframes from your old seats
Sparcoc - same story
Corbeau - don't really like 'em
OMP - just sold a set
What to do? :?

No you don't, my frames were custom made to fit to the rails int eh car where the std seats are bolted in, and cost me £50 for the two.
or get hardcore seats that have side mounts
