Hi all, my clutch cable is only lasting a year to 18months at most and im getting sick of messing around fitting it. Why does it not last?
Is there a hydrolic convertion anyone knows about that I could do? :?
while ago i bought a 18 16v with a broken clutch cable i fitted a new one and the paddle was heavy so i put a new clutch in and it was still heavy so i thought it was a faulty clutch and got another one put in and the paddle was still the same so i just drove it like that and after a wee while the cable snaped so i fitted a new cable and noticed when i was taking the second cable out i hadnt fitted it correctly into the bulkhead hole it was at to much of an angle and was fouling when the paddle was being pressed in i fitted the new one correctly which took ages but it was much lighter.you need to make sure the cable is fitted correct or it will last no time
