i have a JC5 out of my old meg f7r sat in the garage, done about 100k iirc no idea if its ever had a rebuild, it drove fine when i had the meg but it has been sat for a year ish

Darren - yes mate, one i put in was bolloxed, no gears etc for some reason

Gavin - first i've heard about your issues, didnt clock in the other thread it was you who had that box off me was so long back. i'd like to re-iterate that when it left me it was fine, and selected all gears, i backed the car onto the drive before i broke it. the courier very nearly didnt take the box as was and i had to wrap it despite being told that wasnt necessary so at a guess the box was dropped on the selector causing the loss of gears after it left me. not sure what you mean about bearings gone? i can only apologise but i went out of my way to ensure the box was okay, even informing you of my doubts before i checked it throughly and letting you know as soon as i tested it that it was fine. i would never ever of sold a box with no gears.

but i very much doubt coops would of intentionally sold you a bad gearbox..
