Morning all.... I had a Dream

Right September 30th there is a PPC £999 challenge, basically build a car for £999 and race it (1/4 mile and autotest)

now i think you can get a damaged scooby and broken clio for this and put the two together? after a few hours googling i found this

http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/lofiversion/index.php/t107044.html

very cool for reference....

what you think? anyone wanna help

Flan do you ever give up?

I know a man who has done this conversion but instead of a 205 hr used an escort mk4, gotta be honest it's cost him a fortune soo far!

just build a clio turbo with lsd..

better than a scooby engine and better handling out the box..

and some slicks..

There is a Williams with full escort cossie running gear and engine. It's in leics and ain't seen the light of day in years. Last time I asked he wanted 10 k so a little over the budget.

Jag v12 for less than 400 quid strip it bare then strip some more . Keep 600 quid And go pub.

twin engine.......2x f7r/p's simple-ish link ups between gearstick/clutch/acc cable.....cut the boot floor out, and weld strut tops out of another in there...simples...... ;)

i was going to enter this with 0051 a couple of years ago, until i realised that if you won, the organiser had the chance to buy your car...for a grand....if you refused you lost.........no way was i gunna do that lol.

stay with you're brand (renault) ;)

found some interesting stuff about the F-engines. Sodemo build a 600 bhp F7R transaxial mounted 4x4 and some 19's (valver) where fitted with J7R engines and named R19 quadra (4x4) with 550 bhp.

lot of work goes into fitting the 21t engine into the 19 .
they have chopped and reinforced the suspension turrets ,built
a transmission channel etc .

4x4 would rock this big style though 8) 8)

:D the 4x4 clio cosworth is the one that terry pankhurst from dimma built as a show car, i have the magazine write up for it somewhere, i tried finding that years ago.

4x4 would be outstanding, hope someone does it and puts up a guide :D

That gearbox wouldnt come cheap though :?

about 250-300 £ for a 21T quadra (UN-7) gearbox, not to bad.

You can always put the UN7 on the F7 with an adaptorplate. Thats not difficult and whe did the conversion in the past for the F4R (meg225) to UN7 and UN1.
