i have taken out the 2 bent valves and i noticed 1 of them is differant from all the rest and it measures 33mm and the others 32mm so it looks like shes done it before.i measured the seats in the head and the all are the same so i think il get the ones off ebay and put them in.

So you can sling a 33m megane inlet valve in a stock williams head and it'll fit? :S

Weird! Surely they would not lift fully tho and make it sound tappy?

i got a tub of course and a tub of fine valve grinding paste and all the inlets ground in.i took down the 33mm valves as close to 32mm as possible with a fine cutting disc on a 4" griinder i set the valve on the side of the disc and marked it then rotated it with very little prersure it made a good job of them.i will try and post up some pictures.job sorted :D

this job is turning out to be bigger than i thought.the head and valves are fine but i took out number 1 piston to check for broken rings cause there was a very small bit of aluminium stuck to the cylinder wall about 10mm from the top but the rings were ok until i broke 1 putting the piston back in.so now gona have to put in a full set of rings and some of the shell bearings have scratches in them so they all have to be replaced to and i had to buy head bolts and skim the head.i thought it would be a matter of replacing the valves and putting the head back on. :firegun::shots:

ive got the engine fully over hauled with new piston rings new shell bearings and gaskets and seals.i have her all back together and i started it up on wednesday and its going 100 percent with the megane inlet valves.now is on to tthe next job on the car it needs a front bumper a bonnet a bootlid and a few small patches underneath.i have most of the parts on a very very very rusty willy 3.i bought the car with bent valves from a guy how had parts on here for £250 so it leaves me a bit of room to spend a bit on it.the guy is called chris bailie some on here thought he wasnt a genuine seller but he seemed a deadon person to me.
